| Atsuko Seta |
| Born in Osaka, Japan. Atsuko Seta started her career as a pianist thanks to the Argentine pianist Eduardo Delgado. Atsuko Seta won 3rd Prize for the Japan Classic Music Competition in 1992, the Best Soloist Prize of All Japan Musicianfs Association Competition in 1993. In 1996 Atsuko Seta won the Top prize of Masterplayers International Music Competition in Italy . Her tarent has been noticed by the president conducter Maestro Schumacher. "This phenomenal Japanese pianist has played to standing ovations. One of the greatest pianists I have ever heard !" (Richard Schumacher) Since 1997, she has performed in Europe every year, especially Piano Concertos with the Sudety Philharmonic in Poland. "Extraordinary technique exceptional sound and dynamic impetuos temperament" (Walbrzyski Tygodnik,Poland) In 2003 Atsuko Seta got Music Critic Club Prize that is given to the most active musican in West Japan. In 2004, she got the Ibla Grand Prize <Ginastera Special Award> in Italy and played in New York Carnegie Hall where her performance has given exceptional impression to the audience. Recently (2003 &2004) she performed Piano concertos with Lebanese National Symphony Orchestra as a first Japanese pianist. At the same time she continues perfoming for Peace concert & Charity for Asian children.Atsuko Seta wants to live as a pianist to be concerned with Society. Now She teaches Thailand Payap University Music department as a Guest Professor. |
