別段のインフォも出ていなく、"QRZ DX" の編集者が聞き出したのは,「チームから得た言葉に
よると、輸送スケジュールの難しさで 2009年まで延期する」の由。 ;-(

FR/G, GLORIOSO ISLAND. Over the past few weeks many have been asking, "Where is the
Glorioso DXpedition?" All we can say is there is nothing being reported on their
Web page. However, the editor of "QRZ DX" reported this week, "Over the past weekend
I (Carl, N4AA) got the following word from the Team, 'The DXpedition is still on, but
is delayed until 2009 due to difficulty of scheduling transportation.'"

FR/G - Didier, F5OGL says that the infrastructure works on Glorioso [425DXN 886] will
be finished at the end of this month. Didier is still "in very close contact" with
the High Command for the French armed forces in the southern Indian Ocean; "all the
necessary authorizations are in hand" and the DXpedition has not been cancelled, but
the exact dates will depend on variables of the military transportation. Moreover,
all the operators are military personnel, and their professional assignments have
priority over all. "No date is fixed to date, but I'm doing all my best to lead
Glorioso 2008 before the end of this year", Didier says, and adds that "without all
combined elements gathered" he prefers to postpone the operation as long as necessary.

Maurice F5NQL から「グロリオソ-2008」のＥメールが流れてきたので、本 DXペディの日程が具体
化したのかと思いきや、過去再三、再四あった「延期の情報」で、がっくり。
去る 3月07日に記事を書いた時、過去の不安がよぎったが、その危惧が現実のものとなった。
延期の理由は、毎回大体同じで (疫病のリスク回避の為と云った時もあったが) 同地域を監督管理
する当局(主として軍当局) の色んな都合によるもの。
文章の最初の方には数週間の延期 (... postponed for some weeks) とあるが、後半には 9月末か
10月の初めにグロリオソへ行ける事を期待する、とある。

This is the only one OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE for GLORIOSOS 2008.
Didier, F5OGL, team leader communicates to the DX list managed by Maurice, F5NQL:
The Glorieuses 2008 dxpedition has to be postponed for some weeks.
The High Commandment for the Indian Ocean south zone (French Forces) announced us that
important works of infrastructure have to be built on the island.
During two and a half months, starting at the beginning of June, anti-cyclonic shelters
will be built to protect, if necessary, in the future, the military crews working there
and some other important pieces of gear, used for the meteorological and forecast activi-
ties.
Because of the important number of persons who will stay at the same time, on the island,
we decided in agreement with the Commandment of the Indian Ocean south zone Forces, to
postpone this Dxpedition after the end of these works.
The exact dates always remain to be defined according to the operational plannings of
the military transport in this region.
We hope some good news allowing us to go to the Glorieuses at the end September or the
beginning of October.
This new delay will be used by the crew to perfect the preparations.
We already thank all of you who contribute to the realization of this project, and first
the Military Authorities of the Reunion island, as well as the financial and material
sponsors.
The authorisations are not cancelled at all.
I'll give you any new information, as soon as possible.

下記の情報の如く、南部インド洋管轄の軍当局等により許可を取り、来る 5月01日から 6月30日
の間で待望のグロリオソ島 DXペディションが計画されている。
新しい Web ページも用意されたので、色んな詳細が分ってきた。 (只、過去に幾つかの前例が
あるので、今回は確実だ、とは未だ云えないと思われるが)。
160M に関して； アンテナは V80 Vertical (V160 の方がグレードが高いが)、受信用にビバレ
ッジを 3〜6本 (Asia/JA 向けもある)。 V80 の 1本は 160, 80M を切換え、もう 1本は 75M用。
アンプは 4CX800A×1 の 500W 出力 2台。 QRG は問題のない 1823.5kHz。

Access to the islands can only be done with the military already in place.
This operation is expected to take place between 1st May and June 30, 2008.
A reinforced team of 5 to 8 operators, with more equipment if possible, will activate

After many years of effort the permissions have been delivered.
This operation can take place, probably, early of May. To start between May 5th to 9th
for some weeks. For the moment the operators are Pascal F5PTM, Freddy F5IRO, Spephane
F6KIN, David F8CRS, Yves-Michel F5PRU and may be 3 others. They try to have 3 or 4 sta-
tions. The sponsors are welcomme, please contact Didier F5OGL.

不可能に。 但し、計画を諦めたのではなく今後も当局と辛抱強く交渉を続けるようです。
(前回の中止は、現地方面の疫病蔓延が理由だったが、今回は不明)。

Despite our effort to get the clearance to land onto Glorioso island this year, it seems
that new administration scheme is a hurdle. So, we don't give up but it is far batter to

Lasted news - We have got from Reunion Head Quarter a conditional clearance to organise
our expedition onto Glorioso islands. However, regarding the sanitary situation over
Indian ocean and Chikungounya disease, we will not take any risk. Therefore, the decision
to postpone this operation up to october or november seems compulsory.

The Glorieuses islands CDXC DXpedition could finally take place from march 17th to april
7th 2006 after the hurricane season. We cannot carry out this operation earlier because

8月26日付の本チームの Webサイトを見ると下記の通りの記述があり、フランス軍部はこの地域の
国際情勢が今なお緊張した状態にあると警告しており、DX ペディションの実施時期は今年の遅い
時期としか申せない、との事。 要は軍部からのゴーサイン待ちと云ったところです。

The international situation being rather tense and according to announced condition for
military means use to support Glorioso 2005 operation lead us to be twice a caution for
the organization of this DXpedition towards this sensitive area. The expedition is still
postponed up to late 2005. We are not yet able to state the accurate period.
The international Ham radio community have then to be cheered. We still work to run FR/G
in full and acceptable conditions.

フランス軍の管理下にあるグロリオソ島は、そのエリアの安全や輸送上の理由で 5月下旬の計画を
思い留まるよう促(うな)がされ、チームは当局の意向に従うしかなく計画は秋まで延期される事に
なりました。 これは昨年10月12日の記事にもあるように延期や中止の可能性が示唆されていたのです。
考えようによっては、その方がローバンダーにはより良い時期になり、160M が難しい FR シリーズ
では FR/G に期待が持てそうです。 願わくば 3Y/P のようにずるずる延びない事です。

The French Army, Navy and Air forces, because of security have strongly discouraged the
landing of the Radio team, on Gloriosos at the end of May.
So the expedition had to be postponed and is scheduled now on next October or November
2005. More information to come.

The Daily DX ニュースが伝えるところによると、2000年05月以来と云われるグロリオソ島 DXペ
ディは来る 5月15日〜30日に予定されています。 メンバーは 8〜12名, 6-160M のオールバンド、
オールモードで、HF の5局＋6M の1局にて運用。
此の島も自然環境保護の規制があるでしょうが多人数のチーム構成からするとヨーロパ島(TO4E)
DXペディの時ような厳しい制限が生じないと見ています。 存分に DXing が満喫出来る事と期待
しましょう。

Glorioso Island A French team of 8 to 12 operators have planned a major DXpedition to
Glorioso Island during May of this year. This one is in the top 10 most wanted DXCC
Entities and has not been QRV since May 2000.
The team, which is made up of some of the TO4E/TO4WW ops, plans to be QRV on all bands
on SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK, with an emphasis on the low bands. They will be making sure
to have full time AC power for this operation.
They will also be putting in special efforts to work those in the more difficult areas.
Glorioso Island is a wild life protected area and permission to land on this rare one
is quite difficult to obtain.
The team will be shipping equipment from France to Reunion Island then taking it on to
Glorioso.
Look for expected activity from May 15th to May 30th. Plans are to have five stations
on HF plus one dedicated full time 6 meter station (with EME WJST or Beacon).
The team will be specifically looking for North America, Pacific and East Asia.
Most of participating operators are experienced DXpeditioners.
They are requesting financial assistance. All sponsors will be credited as a supporter
and identified on the QSL card, the official Web site and other publications.
They have opened an account for this expedition and your donations can be sent to: F5OGL,

him via F5OGL@club-internet.fr.
The final list of operators has not been decided but could possibly include: F5OGL, F5CW,

決行した CDXC チームが来年にグロリオソ島 DXペディションを計画しているとの事です。
時期は、CQ WPX CW コンテストにも参加と云う事で 5月下旬頃。 期間は 2週間。
ヨーロパ島と同様に軍の支援を受けるが、前回も云われたように国際情勢により計画がずれたり
中止になる事も有りうると。
同島も自然環境保護のためにヨーロパ島の時みたいに運用時間に制限があるかも知れません。
兎も角、実行され多くの DXサーにニューを与えてくれるよう願っています。

The CDXC Team Europa 2003 become right now CDXC Glorioso 2005 !
In fact, Didier F5OGL and Rafik F5CW for Organisation and Dany F5CW in charge of
technical issues have got an in principle agreement to organize in may 2005 a DX-
pedition to Glorioso island.
The QSL manager will be F5CQ. both bureau or direct ways are available.
The call sign will be unveil at time.
The team could be Didier F5OGL, Freddy F5IRO, Pascal F5PTM, perhaps F5CW Dany, and
some others.
Like for Europa, the full team must be composed of french servicemen according to
the high sensitivity of this area.
Furthermore, the transportation will be supported by french forces.
Knowing that like for Europa, operational means that are going to give us a lift
should be called elsewhere following the international situation. In such a case,
the DXpedition should be delayed and even canceled at last time.
Date permitting we are looking for an entry in CQ WPX.
As they do on Europa, the team will give support to turtle protection, a quite
endangered species, along with french forces and IFREMER cooperation.
This expedition could last two weeks.
