★Date: Thu, 28 Jun 2007 14:57:18 +0200 From: Laurent Ferracci <l.ferracciあcomeca-group.com> Subject: [Dx-qsl] Vlad is back ! Many thanks to the Daily DX for publishing http://www.dailydx.com/UA4WHX.pdf I fell everybody will have homework tonight, carefully checking log for every possible Vlad callsign ! And, of course, MANY thanks to Vlad for all QSOs. Laurent F1JKJ ●UA4WHX THIRD JUNKET COMES TO A CLOSE (UA4WHX.pdf) UA4WHX, Vladimir Bykov, has confirmed he is now heading back home to Izhevsk, Russia after being in Africa and the Middle East for over two years. He went through two radios, lost a finger and traveled to 21 countries in 26 months managing over 310,000 QSOs. During that time he made many DXers happy with all time new ones and many band pointers. So after so many QSOs here are the instructions for QSLing. Vladimir will accept bureau QSLs, including those directly from bureaus or societies to his home address. Direct requests may be sent to: Vladimir M. Bykov, P.O. Box 2040, Izhevsk 426000, RUSSIA. No QSL cards should be sent to his US call (AC4LN). He insists on IRCs and not cash in envelopes, no matter how much. Vladimir believes the Post Office is safe but doesn't want to tempt anyone. He can mail seven QSL cards for one IRC so you do the math as to how many should be used. For those serious DXers and Clubs you can send funds, no matter what amount, electronically if you wish to use a Visa or Master Card. He guarantees these transactions will be 100% safe and done through Svezhy Veter Travel Agency. DXers who made multiple contacts from multiple locations can send all QSOs on one piece of paper, with at least one QSL card attached. All of Vladimir's logs were done on paper and not on computer files. Several people (presumably locals) will be helping him with the QSL, however anyone who wishes to join him in Izhevsk to help with the process will be welcome. Vladimir will send out a notification one the first QSL cards begin to be mailed. This was Vladimir's third and longest junket. All of Vladimir's operations from trip 1 and 2 have been approved by the ARRL DXCC Desk and most have received their QSLs for those first two trips. {Get a free two week trial of The Daily DX * www.dailydx.com/order.htm} Here is a complete listing of UA4WHX's operations and approximate dates of activity. * Trip # 1 May 2002 through August 2002 - Caribbean and Central America May 2002 V31BV June 2002 YS1/AC4LN, AC4LN/HR2, AC4LN/TI2, HP8/AC4LN July 2002 HI8/AC4LN August 2002 9Y4/AC4LN, 8R1/AC4LN, 8P9/AC4LN, J6/AC4LN, J73/AC4LN, J8/AC4LN, AC4LN/J3 * Trip # 2 May 2003 through December 2003 - Pacific Islands May 2003 KH6/AC4LN, V63MB, KH2/AC4LN, T88VV, KH0/AC4LN June 2003 V63MB, V73VV, 5W0VB July 2003 5W0VB, ZK2VB, A35VB, P29VVB August 2003 P29VVB, H44VV, H40VB September 2003 YJ0VB, FK/AC4LN, FW/AC4LN October 2003 3D2VB, 3D2VB/R, T30VB, T20VB November 2003 3D2VB, ZK1/AC4LN December 2003 FO/AC4LN/M, FO/AC4LN * Trip # 3 May 2005 through current - Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean May 2005 OD5/UA4WHX, ST2KSS June 2005 ST2VB, J20VB August 2005 J20VB September 2005 5Z4/UA4WHX October 2005 5Z4/UA4WHX November 2005 5X1VB, 5H3VMB December 2005 5H3VMB, 7Q7VB, Z2/UA4WHX January 2006 7Q7VB, Z2/UA4WHX, 4K0VB, 4L0B February 2006 7Q7VB March 2006 C91VB, 5Z4BU, 3DA0VB April 2006 3DA0VB May 2006 7P8VB June 2006 5Z4BU, 7P8VB, Z2/UA4WHX July 2006 Z2/UA4WHX, 9J2VB, V51VV August 2006 V51VV, A25VB, V51VV/P September 2006 9J2VB, A25VB October 2006 V51VV, D20VB November 2006 9J2VB December 2006 C91VB/4, C91VB/6, 5H3VMB/5 January 2007 5H3VMB/5, 5H3VMB, 5H3VMB/3, February 2007 5H3VMB, D60VB, 5R8VB March 2007 5R8VB, D60VB, 7Q7VB April 2007 7Q7VB, 5H3VMB/3, 5H3VMB May 2007 9U0VB June 2007 9X0VB, 5X1VB Get a free two week trial of The Daily DX * www.dailydx.com/order.htm ●Subject: 25 DX News #843 * 30 June 2007 QSL VIA UA4WHX ---> Vlad, UA4WHX says he is going back home - after almost 26 months and 310,000 QSOs from 21 DXCC entities. Callsigns used include 3DA0VB, 4K0VB, 4L0B, 5H3VMB, // 省略 // Z2/UA4WHX (see also the list available for download www.dailydx.com). His QSLling instructions are as follows: 1. Vlad accepts cards sent through the Russian QSL bureau, as well as bureau shipments mailed directly from societies or organizations to his address (Vladimir M. Bykov, P.O. Box 2040, Izhevsk, 426000, Russia). To keep track and make certain nothing is missing when a big batch is on the way, it is advisable to contact him (ua4whxあmail.ru). 2. He recommends sending requests direct rather than going via the bureau. Cards will be arranged and replied to by senders, direct/bureau put together. If there is enough postage, the bureau will join the direct requests. 3. Please avoid sending cash, use IRCs instead ("I can technically send 7 pieces of QSLs with one IRC", he says). 4. It is even possible to use credit cards (Visa or Master Card). "I will keep records of the transaction together with your QSL requests", Vlad says. "The transaction is 100% secure and will be done electronically through Svezhy Veter Travel Agency". 5. Those who made multiple QSOs, can send only one card along with the QSO list on a sheet of paper. 6. Vlad did not use a computer, and all QSOs are on paper logs. He will have a few people to help help him with the QSLing. He will let everyone know when the first cards are out.
