Subject: [DXR] ZD9ZM Update - 17th September

Bob reports that the Agulhas will be returning early and that he and
Karen will now be leaving the island on Saturday 23rd September and
not on the 25th as he first expected. This will mean that the LF
station will have to be dismantled on Friday 22nd September, although
he will be able to use Andy's station on HF until he absolutely has to
leave. This of course means that LF activity is restricted to next
week only.

The good news is that the Titanex vertical is working well on 160m and
Bob made 36 QSOs on 1832 last night, including VE1ZZ, PY and
Europeans. From today, Bob will transmit on 1830 or 1831 at the
request of JA stations who have a BC station harmonic on 1832. Bob
will listen for JA between 1810 and 1825 at their sunrise. There will
also be some 80m activity from tonight at 2100z and more 40m activity
where Bob was booming last night on 7007 despite the Titanex not
tuning on 40m too well.

To date Bob has made 15,000 QSOs and will now be especially active on
LF, which might mean less daytime activity on HF as he catches up with
sleep. Conditions have been poor over the weekend, presumably due to
an A-Index figure of 20.
