It is true that you can make a binoscope within smaller budget by using a right hand and a left hand type of the standard EMS instead of the customized ones. But if you choose the customized type of EMS set in the above talbe, you can spare the enormous effort in making the sliding table or installing the helicoid extention tubes along with the x-y collimation table. If you study about binoscope making a little, you will find which will be more advantageous in the end.
