"Ganbare Goemon" is an action/adventure game for MSX, from Konami. He and his friend(?), Nezumi-kozo are thief, that modeled on real two famous thief in medieval japan. - I wrote some articles about their real lives, click here - It is true that they are thieves, but they are "RIGHTOUS ones", so they rised up to chastise bad bureaucrats.(I missed the manual of this game, if you have a copy of it, please email me or let me know this correct story.)
But to reach the castle, you have to through some barriers by correcting three Tsuko-tegata(

Operation;

Cursor key : Moving Goemon & Nezumi-kozo
Space key : attack with pipe
'M' key : Jump
F1 : Pause your game
- saving your current game -
First, pause your game by pressing F1, then press F2. And you'll see some latters (japanese Hiragana) on the screen, these are password.

- loading your saved game -
Press Ctrl key at the title screen, and screen will change to black. And type your password. But the latters are hiragana, so it is hard to type from your keyboard even if you're a japanese. Here is a key-mapping.

Items;

	Waraji ; kinds of sandal	Incleases your waking speed.
	catapult	can attack distant enemies with gold coins.
	Kasa ; sedge hat	can keep off birds' feces(maybe)
	Omamori ; amulet	takes no damages from some enemies(5 times, i think)
	Inroh ; medicine case	takes no damages from some enemies(5 times, i think too..)
	helmet	protects you from a falling rock.
	armor	decreases taking damages.
	Onigiri ; rice ball	recovers your health.
	dumpling	recovers your health.
	KAYU?	recovers your health.
	Tsuko-tegata ; pass	You must looking for three ones to go to next stage.
	candle	shows hidden steps a little while.
	hour-glass	adds 200 points to your remain time.
	gourd	expands your helth's maximum
	cashbox	receive 200 cash.
	Ohiri-bukuro	adds an extra player. This item means congratulatory gift.

Stages;

There're six style stages. I remember there're 50(!!) stages in this game, too many stages, so I don't finish this game yet.

POST TOWN
Some inns gathered at a town.

PASS
There're many bandits, and monster callled TENGU

. He has a mysteries power.

Close by your destination, the castle, so soldiers meet you.

COAST
Straight road along a beach

FARMING VILLAGE
Someway villager fall upon us!

THE CASTLE
You have to fight Samurails. But actually, Goemon's journey doesn't finish yet...

Enemies;

-CREATURES-
	Sparrow, Fish, Crab, Rooster	Sparrows drop their excrements toward your heads, dodge it quickly. At coast stage, you meet fishes and crabs. Fishes leap from the see, crabs splash theier bubbles. Roosters aren't so terrible.
-COMMON PEOPLE (town)-
	Traveler(?), mailman(called 'Hikyaku'), townsfolk?, Traveler....I think.	They seem to be pickpockets, you had better steer clear of them if you don't want to waste your maney. Anyway you are also a thief! However you can nullify their attacks by taking Omamori
-COMMON PEOPLE (village)-
	Farmers	The man who shoulders something, I believe he brings much excrements because it becames a manure for crops. The second man who take a hoe trys to plow you instead of his farm. Anyway, they're watching you, I donno the reason though...
-SAMURAIS-
	Samurais	The first man, he loses his job so he isn't really a samurai, but called 'Ronin'. Second, who have a lantern called Chochin. He also isn't a samurai, but kinds of policeman. The guy who have a rifle is a soldier. He seems to be a lower-class-samurai. Remain people(except one woman) is a real samurais, i think. I believe she isn't a samurai, she's a wife of it. But their wives are practicing taking a halberd as a samurai's wife.
-ET CETERA-
	Komuso(priest?), priest, ninja, brigand, TAWARA???	Komuso arrows a priest who are trainning himself during long journey with putting on big hat and taking a musical pipe called Shakuhachi. The long staff that second priest has is called Shakujo, i think. This has a some rings on top, so it makes a ring (of sound) by shaking it. As you know the man who wears black suit is Ninja. He attacks us with throwing iron weapons called Shuriken. There's many bandits in mauntain pass. They have huge sword, chastise with your pipe. I don't know why tawara(straw rice-bag) rolls in the town... But be careful in case you are hit by it.
-GOBLINS(?)-
	Tengu, Oni	They are not human. Tengu lives in a deep mountain, and has a mysterias power like flying. Oni has one or two horns. He terrifys people with his big iron crab.
